Hi guys so I have been getting this question come up a lot lately so thought I would share my thoughts on this. What is the Best Fat Source to Get into Ketosis and Keto Adapted the fasted! Is it bacon? Is it butter? Is it coconut oil? Most people think to keto adapt the best fat source is coconut oil because it’s a saturated fat. It is considered a saturated fat but actually the best fat to keto adapt is good old BACON! Oh yes bacon (by the way here is a great way to cook bacon in the oven), but bacon from well fed pigs have the perfect ratios of mono saturated and poly unsaturated fats for your keto adaptation. So it's not butter neither is it coconut oil. Bacon is one of the best fat source to help keto adapt and get into ketosis the fastest. The Keto Basics The basics of why keto is amazing is because it’s simply natural! It’s based off our natural state of being in ketosis. Did you know humans are born in a state of ketosis? A proper keto diet plan following the 80/15/5 macros breakdown allows your body to get into a state of ketosis by eliminating starchy carbs which impacts blood sugar, which halt fat burning, and causes a host of other issues. Not only that, it literally takes less than five minutes to make and is so much cheaper than anything store bought. How to make keto cups The Ingredients: Coconut Butter– For the creamy, coconut filling. Coconut butter is NOT the same as coconut oil- the coconut butter is smooth, creamy and naturally sweet. Chocolate Chips– Stevia sweetened chocolate chips or you can also use a sugar free chocolate bar of choice. Just be sure whatever you use has no sugar and a very low net carb count. Coconut Oil– Mixed with the chocolate to make it easier to bite into once the chocolate has firmed up. The Instructions These homemade 3 Ingredient keto chocolate coconut cups are fool-proof and require an easy, 5-step process: Melt your chocolate Pour into muffin liners or silicone cups Add in softened coconut butter Top with remaining chocolate Refrigerate until firm then enjoy!
